The ideal candidate for our IT Lead role is you - an experienced IT professional who has built and shaped company‑wide IT environments in dynamic, fast‑moving settings. You have hands‑on leadership experience and feel comfortable taking full responsibility for IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and tools like Microsoft 365 and AI. With your previous exposure to New Space export control requirements, you can turn business needs and compliance topics into practical, scalable IT solutions. Your technical strengths include Microsoft 365 administration, Windows systems, networking basics, and up‑to‑date cybersecurity practices, enabling you to keep the company’s IT landscape reliable and secure. Your main priorities are the implementation of IT security monitoring processes and the homogenization of the company IT landscape.

You enjoy working closely with management, teams, and external partners, communicating clearly with people regardless of their technical background. Well‑organized and process‑minded, you set up documentation, lifecycle processes, permission models, and support structures that help the company run smoothly. You balance strategic planning with everyday operational needs and stay proactive in finding solutions and testing new technologies. With your strong sense of ownership, collaborative mindset, and willingness to share knowledge, you help create a dependable and forward‑looking IT environment.

Your responsibilities cover the following areas:

1. Strategy & leadership: 
  • IT strategy and ownership of the complete IT landscape, including cyber security and AI
  • Support with New Space export control matters
  • Translation of business requirements into scalable IT solutions 
  • Main IT contact for management, internal teams, and external partners, vendors and service providers
  • Evaluation of new technologies with business value
  • Preparation of IT input for budgeting and management decisions
  • Support of business departments with IT solutions
  • Definition and supervision of IT support processes
  • Escalation point for complex or critical IT issues
  • Leadership and mentoring of IT staff where applicable
2. Infrastructure: 
  • Oversight of IT infrastructure and cyber security including PCs, printers, Poly Studio, servers, and networks 
  • Ensuring reliable Wi‑Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity 
  • Definition of hardware and software standards 
  • Planning and coordination of system upgrades and migrations 
  • Ownership of Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and external collaboration 
  • Maintain overview of IT assets and systems
3. Processes: 
  • Definition of permission models and access concepts, including cyber security and AI
  • Hardware and software lifecycle management 
  • Approval of IT procurement and licensing decisions 
  • Establishment and maintenance of IT documentation and standards 
  • Continuous improvement of IT processes 
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes

Here is what you bring to the table
Background: 
  • Experience in building a company IT function 
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Has preferably worked at a start-up or in an agile and fast-paced company environment
Core hard skills  
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
