Here is why you are going to love this role
At Dcubed, we are literally taking structures and mechanisms to the next level – bringing true, in-space manufacturing (ISM) of large-scale space structures directly to orbit. As a Mechanical Engineer on the In-Space Manufacturing Team, you will play a key role developing, building, testing, and flying new in-space manufacturing technologies. You’ll apply digital design and simulation techniques to produce Dcubed’s next generation ISM printer systems, from concept to delivery on-orbit.
If you love hands-on, rapid prototyping and development, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
· Provide design and development support to the US ISM printer team, including mechanical part and assembly design.
· Rapid prototype and test design concepts, so they can be tested and evaluated.
· Support manufacturing of composite, metallic, and hybrid space structures.
· Support assembly, integration and test of payloads and payload to spacecraft interfaces.
· Design test and ground support equipment for use in production, test and integration.
· Develop assembly and test plans for ISM systems and space structures.
· Perform validation of ISM structures performance through ground and flight test campaigns.

Eligibility Requirements
· Onsite/Hybrid Required: This position is based at our Berthoud, Colorado facility.
· Due to federal regulations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicants must be U.S. persons. This includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Compensation and Benefits
· Salary range: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
· Competitive health insurance (medical, vision, dental)
· Flexible PTO and sick leave
· Generous parental leave
· Hybrid work flexibility when applicable
· Opportunities to grow with a rapidly scaling aerospace company

Equal Opportunity Employer
