Here is why you are going to love this role
At Dcubed, we are redefining the future of space exploration with innovative solar arrays and space mechanisms. As a Product Assurance / Product Quality Engineer, you will be the guardian of reliability and quality, making sure our products perform flawlessly in the harshest environments. From the lab all the way to orbit.
In this role, you’ll shape quality standards, define and oversee testing processes, manage non-conformances, and drive process improvements across the full product lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, production, suppliers, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure that Dcubed products not only meet but exceed expectations.
Your impact: By safeguarding product quality, you will directly shape the trust our customers place in Dcubed and ensure the success of future space missions. Every improvement you drive will contribute to safer, more reliable, and more ambitious missions beyond Earth.

You’ll:
  • Develop and implement quality and product assurance strategies, processes, and standards across the product lifecycle.
  • Act as an independent reviewer during early design phases, ensuring quality is embedded from concept through serial production.
  • Lead the product testing process: define testing requirements, review plans, ensure proper execution, analyze results, and confirm compliance with standards (ECSS/ISO/NASA/AS).
  • Create, manage, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in line with space standards, working hand-in-hand with engineering, customer solutions engineers and customers to resolve issues, and provide annual NCR trend statistics.
  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring product safety and reliability.
  • Oversee supplier quality assurance and incoming inspections of critical components, improving inspection procedures to reduce defects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing, testing, and documentation to strengthen efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain clear and rigorous documentation and reporting, summarizing test results, quality findings, and lessons learned.
  • Act as the quality representative in internal reviews, external audits, and customer acceptance milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, R&D, suppliers, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and customer satisfaction.
Here is what you bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Physics, or related engineering field.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance/product assurance methodologies, testing techniques, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards, ISO 9001, or AS9100 frameworks; certifications (CQE, Six Sigma, PA Engineer) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, machining processes, high-performance materials, surface treatments, and lubricants for space applications is an advantage.
  • Experience overseeing environmental and mechanical testing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA, CAPA).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and represent quality to customers.
  • Detail-oriented, rigorous in documentation, and proactive in driving improvements.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier audits, test processes, and customer reviews.
  • Fluency in English; eligibility to work in the EU.
