You will support the customer lifecycle for onboarding, customer adoption, ongoing support, optimization and expansion, retention, and overall customer satisfaction. As a Customer Solutions and Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for customer retention and preventing churn across the customer base from a technical side.

You’ll:
  • Answer inbound technical support requests and perform technical check-in and follow-up with existing customers
  • Own, update and maintain product documents
  • Create educational articles on best practices/lessons learned/how-to-use for customers and prospects
  • Plan and execute customer on-sites to support their technical product implementation/application
  • Lead the technical coordination of In-orbit demonstration (IOD) flight missions
  • Write and present technical papers and posters at international space conferences and workshops
  • Create customer application workshops and supporting webinars
  • Support the sales and BD team at conferences for customer meetings and booth staffing
  • Conduct competitive landscape analysis and gather technical business intelligence
  • Support the R&D team with the development of new products aligned with market needs
Here is what you bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in mechanical/mechatronics/aerospace engineering, or a related technical field
  • Understanding of fundamental technical principles, mechanics and experience with CAD and environmental testing
  • Experience in the space sector a mechanical/mechanisms engineer with strong customer focus
  • Experience in GD&T, machining processes and techniques as well as experience with high performance materials, surface treatments, and lubricants for space applications is a plus
  • Track record of driving customer success and aligning within complex customer environments at executive and department levels
  • Ability to understand customer requirements, develop and guide their thinking to identify measures of success, designing an application to meet them and ongoing plan to increase value over time
  • Solid organization and multi-tasking skills, exceptional communication abilities, and interpersonal skills
  • You are a problem solver, both on the technical and non-technical side and you aim to find solutions
  • Storytelling ability, in both technical and non-technical settings
  • You have a strong urgency to complete tasks and have a measurable impact on the business
  • You have experience with planning and executing customer visits, technical reviews, for executive level clients and key stakeholders; this includes preparing internally and orchestrating externally
  • You show a strong bias for action combined with a natural inclination to take the initiative and own the result
  • A relentless drive to succeed and improve on the status quo
  • Attention to detail and following up on analyses with clear assumptions, rationale and solid logic
  • You are most likely already working in this role and are looking for more growth and responsibility
  • Willingness to travel for business trips/conferences/customer visits (up to 40%)

  • Onsite/Hybrid Required: This position is based at our Berthoud, Colorado, USA facility
