You will be involved in the development process from prototypes to fully qualified products. Bring your background in materials, structures, testing or quality (or similar) engineering and become the vital link that continuously improves our existing product’s performance, durability, and reliability while introducing some of the most innovative technologies out there.

As a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer based out of Munich, Germany, your main responsibilities will be aimed towards supporting the development of deployable antenna products. Stay up to date with the latest research and play a critical role in CAD modeling, structural analyses, prototyping, testing and documentation. Be hands-on and possess strong investigative skills which will be essential for success in this position. This role requires a creative approach to design and test antennas never made before. Perform hands-on assembly tasks and testing of space hardware every other month.
Here is what you bring to the table
  • Experience in mechanical/mechatronic design and/or analysis (using CAD, FEM tools) and familiarity with (new) space environment preferred 
  • Strong problems solving skills and ability to work in a striving team environment 
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a dynamic and rapid-paced, nimble environment 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering 
  • Appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity in industrial/mechanical applications  
  • You’re likely someone who enjoys designing things on your own time, including 3D printing, soldering, machining
  • Self-motivated with high standards for quality in your work 
  • Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset 
  • Have an open and direct communication style 
  • Willingness to travel for business trips  
  • Fluent in English is a requirement for our diverse team environment
  • You are eligible to work in the EU
The following criteria will be considered an asset during the selection process:
  • Experience with space hardware design, manufacturing, assembly and testing
  • Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or any other high-level language
  • Experience in PCB design and analysis
  • Experience with multi-body analyses
  • Solid understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and project partners
