DCUBED is hiring ambitious individuals to join our space crew and "Do Big Things In Space" 

Responsible for the development of advanced numerical models for deployable space structures and our mission will be to  support the design of novel deployable structures through trade studies and early  concept  validation  

Develop predictive numerical models to understand the launch and deployment behavior of deployable  

structures in space and during ground testing 

Design experiments aimed at calibrating and validating the numerical models 

Support the test teams with test correlation during test campaigns

Here is what you bring to the table

Background

• MS degree or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar)
• 3+ years' experience with FEM
• Experience with at least one of the following fields: explicit dynamics FEM, rigid-body dynamics, buckling and post-buckling, launch analyzes (sine / random vibration, shock)
• Experience with design of experiments for model validation
• Fluent in English

Nice To Have......

• Familiarity with LS Dyna
• Familiarity with deployable structures 
• Experience with data processing and data visualization 
• Coding in Python
